ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to re-appoint Justice (R) Deedar Hussain Shah as National Accountability Bureau Chairman and the summary to this effect could be moved by the prime minister for the president's formal approval, anytime today (Friday). Senior government officials confirmed to our sources that the principled decision to reappoint Justice (R) Shah in any such judicial eventuality had actually been taken a long time back. The Supreme Court on Thursday had nullified the appointment of Justice (R) Syed Deedar Hussain Shah as NAB chairman and ordered him to immediately leave charge of his office. The court had also ordered the government to appoint a new chairman in his place. According to sources, the government has already corrected the procedural lapses made in the earlier appointment of Justice (R) Syed Deedar Hussain Shah due to which the Supreme Court had given its latest hard hitting verdict.
