Govt to reappoint Deedar Shah as NAB chairman

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to re-appoint Justice (R) Deedar Hussain Shah as National Accountability Bureau Chairman and the summary to this effect could be moved by the prime minister for the president's formal approval, anytime today (Friday). Senior government officials confirmed to our sources that the principled decision to reappoint Justice (R) Shah in any such judicial eventuality had actually been taken a long time back. The Supreme Court on Thursday had nullified the appointment of Justice (R) Syed Deedar Hussain Shah as NAB chairman and ordered him to immediately leave charge of his office.
